Description:
These have a transparent with a white body and may have a slight yellow cream line on the back as well. They have black or brown eyes. Eggs are totally white and brighter than body. The berries really stand out.
I am very excited to have finally gotten this species alive and in good health. These are a very beautiful shrimp. They will crossbreed with Red Cherries which will produce a mutt species of poor quality. We do not want to keep them together!
Like the red Cherries the Pearl White shrimp is an excellent algae eater and is highly recommended for a cleanup crew. You will see from the above stats that the ideal living condition is the same as for Red Cherry Shrimp. Easy to keep. I dont imagine they will be rare in Canada for long. There is a true blue coloured variant that is extremely rare.
